USUA is the FAI sanctioned ultralight and microlight representative - through the National Aeronautic Association (our national body representing all U.S. aviation) - for national and world competition and for world record attempts.
When holding a competition or attempting a record, it is essential that a Microlight Observer validate any of the above contest or record activity.
Microlight observers assure that officially recognized ultralight contests and records are conducted in accordance with all applicable parameters and rules. An observer must be familiar with all aspects of the U.S. Microlight Contest & Records program. The volunteers who officiate in the U.S. Microlight Contest & Records program are part of the elite group that maintains the integrity of officially recognized American competitive ultralight activity.
To locate an Observer, download the Current list of Microlight Observers.
